Signature win of the day:
Ole Miss 62, @Florida 61 - with all the other bubble teams flailing around (we'll get to them), a big hold of service on the road
Catastrophic losses:
@UConn 70, Tulsa 45 - getting blown out is not the way to make an at-large case. They're likely gonna have to rely on the conference tournament
Chattanooga 56, @Wofford 46 - that's the one that breaks Wofford's at-large back
Minnesota 64, @Iowa 59 - Iowa giving away a significant amount of recent goodwill it had earned
@Texas-San Antonio 72, Old Dominion 67 - catastrophic doesn't even begin to describe...
@BYU 82, St Mary's 60 - that's a near-fatal blow
Holding serve:
Purdue 61, @Rutgers 51
@Gonzaga 80, Loyola Marymount 51
@Utah 75, Stanford 59 - no real harm to Stanford here
SMU 75, @Houston 69
@Illinois 64, Michigan 52 (OT) - this is news on a day like this
Miscellany:
- A-Sun: North Florida loses at USC Upstate, so FGCU beats Northern Kentucky on the road to take sole possession of the lead
- Big South: UNC-Asheville was supposed to win tonight and nose ahead of the other 6 contenders. Instead they lost at home to Presby. Of course
- NEC: St Francis(NY) wins again to maintain the NEC lead
- CUSA: LaTech wins for sole possession of the CUSA lead, as UAB punts a game on the road to North Texas. UTEP remains one game back, and ODU as mentioned above is now 2.5 back and in big trouble
- OVC: Murray St goes to 12-0 in the conference and has run away and hid from everyone else
- Summit: North Dakota St wins on the road at Denver to maintain that conference lead
- WAC: New Mexico St wins again and is running away from the pack
- California 68, @Colorado 61 - Cal's kinda won 5 in a row. They have a litmus test game at Utah in a couple days, so we'll know just how serious this is
- Big Sky: Eastern Washington beats Sacramento St to take over the lead
- Sun Belt: Louisiana-Monroe wins to maintain their lead
- Big West: UC-Davis wins to maintain their lead
