1/6 preview

SEC:
Kentucky should smash Ole Miss at home.
The important game here is Arkansas at Georgia.  2 teams likely to be the main contenders for 2nd in the SEC, and it'll be awfully tough for the #2 SEC team to miss the tournament.  As a bonus, it's a chance for a road statement for Arkansas; these usually don't go well.

Big 10:
Ohio St at Minnesota - OSU kinds needs to start piling up wins of significance, and this would count.  Ditto Minnesota.
Also, Michigan is at Penn St, and people can go ahead and pretends it matters to the bubble at this moment.

Big East:
Providence at Butler - both I have on the right side of the bubble, the winner gets some extra padding.
The signature game is Villanova at St John's, and Nova is in a tricky spot.  They can't afford too many more losses to get a 1 or even a 2 seed.  And St John's is already 0-2 in Big East play.

Elsewhere:
- UConn is still at critical mass; a road win at USF is mandatory
- Pitt is at BC in another mandatory game
- I wrote off New Mexico, but they have an early 2-0 start in MW play and go to San Diego St.  We'll see
