1/5 recap

Signature win of the day:
Notre Dame 71, @North Carolina 70 - so, remember when I've been calling out Notre Dame for all their SoS problems?  Problem solved.  When you bink road games like this, those problems go away.

Of more concern is UNC's seed.  They're a clear 4th in the ACC pecking order, and there's not a lot of room at the top

The other signature win of the day:
Oklahoma 70, @Texas 49 - I think most people want to cede the top 3 Big 12 spots to Texas/Ia St/Kansas and deal with the rest on the bubble.  Probably time for me to move OU into that group and make it a Big 4

Holding serve:
West Virginia 78, @Texas Tech 67
@Michigan St 70, Indiana 50 - important for MSU just to get the train back on the tracks...this doesn't hurt IU too badly but they need to gain ground, not avoid getting hurt
@Iowa 70, Nebraska 59

Miscellany:
Northeastern loses at home in CAA play to UNC-Wilmington; Hofstra wins and is probably the top competition here
St Francis(PA) beats Robert Morris at home, has the early NEC lead at 2-0
Texas St 77, @Georgia St 74 (2OT) - Sun Belt faves go down at home; it's not like GSU's getting an at-large bid, but seeding is a factor
Wofford wins at Chattanooga in the SoCon
@Green Bay 79, Wright St 55
SFA wins over SE Louisiana
and finally in one straggling non-con game:  @UC Santa Barbara 63, FGCU 50
