1/14 recap

Signature wins of the day:
@Baylor 74, Iowa St 73 - yeah, it a home hold of service, but Baylor needed a bit of validation and got it
San Diego St 60, @Wyoming 52 - and SDSU reasserts itself as king of the conference.  Wyoming is built up a bit of equity but does need to win these home games to keep it

Catastrophic losses of the day:
@Central Florida 103, Tulane 100 (3OT) - if there were any questions about if Tulane was legit...this answered it

Notables:
North Carolina 81, @North Carolina St 79 - obviously, no harm to NCSU who already got their signature win.  Helpful road win for UNC
SMU 60, @Temple 55 - SMU goes and grabs a road win over a AAC contender.  SMU is at least starting to tighten its grip on the field of 68
St John's 83, @Providence 70 - a good resume win to get St John's on the board in BEast play.  Provi just can't seem to separate itself from the pack
LSU 75, @Ole Miss 71 - at this point, I'm celebrating any bubble SEC team winning on the road
@Villanova 88, Xavier 75 - no real harm to X
UCLA 83, @USC 66 - no road wins are trivial wins
Illinois 72, @Northwestern 67 - again, no road wins are trivial wins
Georgia 70, @Vanderbilt 67 - once more, with feeling:  no road wins are trivial wins
Stanford 69, @California 59 - sense a theme?

Holding serve:
Notre Dame 62, @Georgia Tech 59
@Maryland 73, Rutgers 65 - let's all make a promise not to think Rutgers is actually in this bubble discussion, okay?
@Dayton 61, LaSalle 50
Davidson 71, @UMass 63
@Wichita St 67, Southern Illinois 55
@Kansas St 58, Texas Tech 51
@Pittsburgh 73, Florida St 64
@Marquette 53, Creighton 52
@New Mexico 60, Air Force 48
@Colorado St 98, Nevada 42

Elsewhere:
Through 3 matchdays in the MAC, everyone's already got a loss.  It's a traffic jam at 2-1 for the conference lead.  You boys have fun
@Boston College 64, Harvard 57 (OT) - the final nail in Harvard's at-large coffin; they still should hold for the Ivy title
@Northeastern 91, Hofstra 83 - for early control of the Colonial
Did you realize Indiana St, terrible Indiana St, is 5-0 in the MVC?  Elsewhere in the conference, Loyola held serve and Evansville won on the road
