Editor's note: new bracket and S-curve sometime in the upcoming weekend. We're going weekly starting next week.
Texas 86, North Carolina 83 - I give up. I have no idea how to analyze UNC. All the big wins are big, but you have to win these games to stay on the top lines, UNC. I don't care how many Kentuckys you beat. 19-13 is not getting you a protected seed, but that's your trajectory.
Let's talk Texas for a second then. 10-1, but no real wins of value until tonight. The loss was reasonable (N-BYU). They now get a house money shot at Michigan St.
Baylor 91, Northwestern St 84 (OT) - Shaving it close there, no?
Massachusetts 83, Ohio 71 - Now UMass can really start thinking about the top 3 lines
Texas Southern 90, Temple 89 - What's gotten into the SWAC this year? They're winning road games and everything!
NC State 65, Tennessee 58 - Not the way to build a profile, UT
St Joseph's 75, Drexel 55 - Probably asking too much for Drexel to stay at-large relevant the whole season
Akron 79, Detroit 60
Western Kentucky 68, Southern Miss 65 - S. Miss does not pass their road test. Bubble teams find a way to win this
St Louis 83, Indiana St 66 - Decent win for St Louis, golden chance by the boards for ISU
Stanford 53, UConn 51 - Cross-country road win! Pac-12 having a reasonable start to the season. This win will have shelf life. UConn can't afford too much of this in the future. First one's on the house though
LSU 71, Texas Tech 69 - LSU stays in the at-large picture for now
We got one big one Thursday: UCLA/Duke. If anything else is notable, it'll be because someone got upset.
