Battle 4 Atlantis:
Villanova 88, Iowa 83 - quite a couple days for 'Nova
Kansas 67, UTEP 63
Tennessee 82, Wake Forest 63
USC 84, Xavier 78 - crushing 0-3 for the X
Barclays:
Ole Miss 79, Penn St 76 - mission accomplished for Ole Miss in this tourney
St John's 69, Georgia Tech 58
Great Alaska:
Harvard 71, TCU 50 - mission accomplished for Harvard. 3 wins, none of which are great, but they are neutral court wins over competent opponents
Indiana St 73, Pepperdine 70
Green Bay 67, Tulsa 59
Corpus Christi:
SMU 55, Texas A&M 52
Virginia 83, Missouri St 63 - no real sin to lose, but golden chance easily goes by the board for MSU
Pitt 84, Duquesne 67
Ohio 81, Evansville 59
New Mexico 73, San Diego 66
Colorado 81, Air Force 57
Colorado St 85, New Mexico St 83
Washington 92, Long Beach St 89 (2OT)
NC State 75, Eastern Kentucky 56
BYU 85, Utah St 74 - by the way, busy start to BYU's season. A litany of quality win chances. Cashed in on N-Texas, N-Utah St, @Stanford, and Weber, missed N-Iowa St and N-Wichita. They could be computer monsters in March
Sunday preview:
Old Spice finishes: Wazzu/St Joe's, Butler/LSU, Purdue/Siena, Oklahoma St/Memphis
Wooden Legacy finishes: Arizona St/Miami, Fullerton/Charleston, G-Wash/Creighton, Marquette/SDSU
Wichita St at St Louis - The next great chance for both teams to put a quality win on the board. Kind of a house money situation for WSU, I think
VCU at Belmont - Immediate chance for VCU to rebound and put a 2nd quality road win on the board. Meanwhile, Belmont needs it to become an at-large player this year
North Carolina at UAB - A roadie, but one UNC expects to get. UAB gets a free run at a quality win
Providence n. Kentucky (Brooklyn) - UK should get this
