A quick word on Wichita St.

Some have started the narrative that Wichita has a soft schedule.  Fine.  I would like to offer just one piece of evidence to the argument.  Do with it whatever you so desire.

If you're acutely aware, in Dallas at the American Airlines Center, they hosted a triple-header event in November.  It had Oklahoma/Alabama, TCU/SMU, and Baylor/Colorado.

That event was supposed to be a quadruple-header, not a triple-header.  Wichita State was to play in the event as well.  So, why didn't they play?

BECAUSE NO ONE WANTED TO PLAY THEM.

Literally.  Organizers could not find a good team willing to play them.  So no Wichita State.  They had to find a non-D1 opponent to play instead that night.

Conclusion:  if you want to take a shot at WSU and say they won't play anyone, then kindly shut up and remove yourself from the conversation.  They can only play who's in front of them.

Of course, on the other hand, this doesn't mean Wichita is automatically a 1 seed if they run the table.  There's flaws in the resume (from the standpoint of getting a 1 seed).  Just be fair about the flaws.  Don't trot out the nonsense about avoiding top competition.
