Do you think it is odd that North Carolina is so high with only 3 top 50 wins ?

Saint Mary's and Pittsburgh seem too high to me based on their resume.

Pitt just 2-6 vs top 50 RPI

Saint Mary's 0 top 50 wins and 0 wins vs at large caliber teams.

Your 9 seed makes me believe you would have them in the field even with a loss in their conf tournament.

I don't think St Mary's is very safe. The committee has shown a history of overseeding mid-major conference champs. And many bubble teams will be winning significant games. And all that said, I have no idea who really deserves to be on the 9 line right now. There's some weaker candidates behind them.

And with UNC, again, committee history. When it comes to the top line or two, they gravitate more towards the polls and eye test that people think. They see ACC champs and get the boost.
