3/5 recap

Big 12:
@Kansas 85, Iowa St 78
Oklahoma 75, @TCU 67
West Virginia 69, @Baylor 58
@Texas Tech 80, Kansas St 71 - TTU.  Lockbox

Big East:
@Villanova 84, Georgetown 71
@Xavier 98, Creighton 93
Seton Hall 80, @DePaul 66
Providence 90, @St John's 76
@Butler 95, Marquette 74 - wow, this conference was very orderly today!  I think Butler and Provi and SHU have done enough to enter the lockbox.  Butler and Provi are going to have to play each other, I think the loser will be fine

Pac-12:
Oregon 76, @USC 66 - this was not mandatory for USC, but there is work to do at the conference tourney
@Utah 57, Colorado 55
@Arizona 94, Stanford 62 - okay, we can put the Stanford talk away
California 68, @Arizona St 65 - road wins are never trivial when Cal has the mark that it has
Oregon St 86, @UCLA 82 - road wins are never trivial!

B1G:
@Michigan St 91, Ohio St 76
Iowa 71, @Michigan 61

ACC:
@Virginia 68, Louisville 46 - Virginia is solidifying as a 1 seed
@Virginia Tech 77, Miami 62 - and Miami is off the 1 seed board.  I kind of like it when seeding questions resolve organically like this.  Miami will straddle the 2/3 lines in the next week
North Carolina 76, @Duke 72 - finally, a win that feels 1-seedish.  They have the conference title, but nothing else in the resume lends itself to getting a 1 seed.  Much work to do next week
@Notre Dame 89, NC State 75
@Florida St 78, Syracuse 73 - FSU is barely alive...the bigger story is Syracuse failing to enter the lockbox
@Georgia Tech 63, Pittsburgh 59 - I think Pitt's home free, but they can still damage their seed greatly.  GaTech isn't 100% dead, but it's going to take a big run to make it
NITWatch:  Clemson over BC and I'm wondering if their big wins or RPI failures will win out with the selection committee

SEC:
@Texas A&M 76, Vanderbilt 67 - I'm not exactly a fan of Vandy's resume, but I'm less a fan of others'
@Kentucky 94, LSU 77
@Georgia 70, Alabama 63 - Alabama has to be done...right?
South Carolina 76, @Arkansas 61
Florida 82, @Missouri 72
NITWatch:  Ole Miss won on the road...a 20 win SEC team not making the NIT?  It's possible

A-10:
@Davidson 87, George Washington 80 - endgame for G-Dub
Duquesne 78, @St Joseph's 70 - oh man, good thing St Joe's built up some goodwill because they've spent it all down the stretch.  Back in legitimate bubble trouble
St Bonaventure 76, @St Louis 67 - and Bonaventure is the 2nd best A-10 team now.  Figures
@Dayton 68, VCU 67 (OT) - a critical, critical blow to VCU.  This was as close to a must-win as you can have.  Also very important to Dayton's seed, though

AAC:
@Tulsa 84, South Florida 74

MWC:
@San Diego St 92, UNLV 56

OVC finals:
Austin Peay 83, Tennessee-Martin 73 - and the OVC sends a garbage team instead of one of the 5 or 6 semi-legitimate teams.  Wonderful

MVC semifinals:
Northern Iowa 57, @Wichita St 52 - oh no.  no no no.  I think we found out hot button topic for the next week.  Official stance:  they're probably okay, but no lock.  Anyone who says it's a lock in either direction is an idiot
Evansville 68, Indiana St 42

Big South semifinals:
UNC-Asheville 80, High Point 69 - 1 seed down
Winthrop 82, Gardner-Webb 69 - it's the 2 vs. 4 seeds for the title here.  Both winners are comparable to High Point in terms of overall profile

Northeast semifinals:
Fairleigh Dickinson 80, Mount St Mary's 75
Wagner 81, Long Island 65

WCC quarterfinals:
BYU 72, Santa Clara 60
Pepperdine 90, San Francisco 86
St Mary's 60, Loyola Marymount 48
Gonzaga 92, Portland 67

CAA quarterfinals:
Hofstra 80, Drexel 67
William & Mary 79, James Madison 64
UNC-Wilmington 66, Charleston 64
Northeastern 71, Towson 60 - a couple mild upsets here but the 4 left are all competent

Summit quarterfinals:
IPFW 86, South Dakota 70
South Dakota St 73, Oral Roberts 70

MAAC quarterfinals:
Siena 89, Manhattan 76
Fairfield 64, St Peter's 55

SoCon quarterfinals:
Chattanooga 59, Samford 54
Western Carolina 88, Wofford 83 (2OT)
East Tennessee St 81, Mercer 65
Furman 80, UNC-Greensboro 64 - a relatively orderly day here

Horizon first round:
Green Bay 65, Cleveland St 53
Milwaukee 86, Northern Kentucky 69
Wright St 74, Illinois-Chicago 43
Detroit 92, Youngstown St 79 - favorites all hold

IvyWatch:
Yale 71, @Columbia 55 - Yale wins the Ivy

NITWatch:
Hawaii lost to LBSU, and shared the Big West title with Irvine.  Hawaii still has the NIT autobid, Irvine's on that bubble...Princeton did win, so they will carry a top 50 RPI to the at-large board...in the MWC, Fresno won and finished 2 games clear of Boise for 2nd...

Right now ESPN Joe Lunardi has Wichita State as a lock in (they were a 7 seed before they lost for him) and he has already stated the bubble shrank by 1 spot.

Then you have CBS Jerry Palm stating Wichita State has basically no shot to get at large bid.

My gut feeling is they make it but it will be close.
